Healthy Lifestyle School

Helping kids and teens build lifelong healthy habits

This program is designed for children and adolescents with:

  • Excess body weight
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Poor use of free time
  • Early signs of obesity-related health issues

What children learn and experience:

  • The basics of balanced eating: what to eat, when, and why
  • How to build a healthy plate and choose the right foods
  • The importance of hydration and regular mealtimes
  • The value of movement—whether it’s outdoors, in the gym, or in the pool
  • Keeping a healthy eating diary
  • Understanding how excess weight affects the body

They also receive support to build self-confidence, self-esteem, and social skills through group and individual counselling.

Involvement of parents:

  • Workshops and lectures offer practical tools to support healthy routines at home
  • Education about nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and emotional support

Medical and diagnostic support:

Children are under medical supervision throughout their stay and participate in hospital schooling.

We perform a full health evaluation, including:

  1. Blood sugar, HbA1c, and glucose tolerance testing
  2. Complete blood count
  3. Lipid and liver panels
  4. Lung function tests
  5. Hormone levels (as needed)
  6. Ultrasounds of thyroid and liver
  7. Blood pressure monitoring
  8. Sleep studies (if indicated)
  9. Spirometry
  10. Aerobic fitness test (Rockport)
  11. Muscle strength test
  12. Body composition analysis (InBody 770 scale)

In most cases, abnormal findings improve significantly with weight loss. If needed, specialists (endocrinology, cardiology, psychiatry, etc.) are referred.

Positive outcomes:

  • Reduced body fat
  • Better physical fitness
  • More active free time
  • Lasting healthy habits at home
  • Lower intake of sugar and fats

💡 Parent tip: Small changes at home—like regular meals and outdoor play—can make a big difference.
